Shape Shifters

Shape Shifters is a series of lino prints that draws upon ancient tales and folklore, where women and witches were said to carry the secret gift of becoming animal.

Echoing moments in history when both women and beasts were condemned as witches, these works stand as an homage to their shared fate.

Each design is a limited edition of 50 prints, and each one embodies a different character alongside a different animal. Within these visions also lies a celebration of a multitude of bodies: young and old bodies, Black bodies, shapely bodies, and more — all shifting, all present.

Beyond this, the series invokes a vision of kinship between human and animal — an ecofeminist reverie in a world drifting ever further from the wild, where our bond with creatures once sacred has grown fractured and uneven.
